Commander Sam Vimes of the City Watch is used to trouble. There's always trouble in Ankh-Morpork.

It's a conundrum of a case. With the help of Captain Carrot, the only watchman who knows the law inside-out; Corporal Cheery Littlebottom, an unconventional dwarf with an eye for forensics; and Constable Angua, a werewolf with an excellent sense of smell, Vimes tries to solve the mystery.

But time is of the essence, for something extremely dangerous is loose in the city, its red eyes glowing in the night…

Feet of Clay is the third book in the City Watch series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order.

The first book in the Discworld series - The Colour of Magic - was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this.

Pratchett at his best

The Watch is the best discworld series and Feet of Clay may just be the best Watch book. A clever story full of twists and wit. The performances are fantastic, even giving life to characters I found uninteresting when I read the series years ago. You can’t go wrong with Pratchett.

The storyline, the narration, and the energy put into this audiobook reading is a phenomenal combination. Whether you've never read a Pratchett novel or if you know every book by heart, this is one the whole family will cherish.

One of my favorites

Personhood, agency, copper shenanigans, intrigue, punching authorities in the face, common people, theological debate, golems, werewolves, gender, it’s got everything you could want in a story and then some!

Brilliant!

I learn something new about Disc World with every book, but this one is a kicker. Life and death, love and werewolves, Dwarf sexuality politics and the meaning of life all wrapped up in most intriguing bundle of words I’ve ever heard…

there may be other beat authors but hes my favorite
and this is an excellent book

a marvelously progressive book.

Poison, gender realizations, heraldry, and a true debate on life. and those are just the under currents. Not wanting to give away the ending, I shan't give the big reveal that Commander Vimes comes to. However there's a large shock about Corporal Knobs near the end. Also Langua and Karrot are building their relationship the best way, "One day at a time." An excellent continuation of the series.

Somewhat negative story. Not as fun as other Pratchett books.

Did not like the narrator’s choices for character voice’s anywhere near Nigel Planer’s. Not as well done or enjoyable to listen to.

Great story well performed.

I loved reading the Discworld novels, and they should be read at some point. However, these are performed like old school radio plays. The voice actors bring me into the world that that and Terry Pratchett create. These are well worth a listen.

it was great

It was a fun mystery and the performance was largely wonderful. My only complaint is that some of the voices were a bit hard for me to understand. The humor is amazing.

Another masterpiece. You can hear and feel it, the truths of this universe reflected in the one that he writes into life.
