Luc O'Donnell is tangentially - and reluctantly - famous. His rock-star parents split when he was young, and the father he's never met spent the next 20 years cruising in and out of rehab. Now that his dad's making a comeback, Luc's back in the public eye, and one compromising photo is enough to ruin everything. To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. He’s perfect boyfriend material.

Valentine Layton, the Duke of Malvern, has twin problems: literally. It was always his father’s hope that Valentine would marry Miss Arabella Tarleton. But, unfortunately, too many novels at an impressionable age have caused her to grow up...romantic. Arabella’s twin brother, Mr. Bonaventure “Bonny” Tarleton, has also grown up...romantic. And fully expects Valentine to ride out after Arabella.

If only he didn’t have to deal with Clay Parker, the infuriatingly smug data analyst who gets under Thom’s skin like it’s his job. There are plenty of words Jonah Collins could use to describe Dylan Ramírez. “Arrogant,” “spoiled,” and “golden boy” to name a few. Likewise, Dylan thinks he has Jonah accurately labeled as an attention-seeking asshat who never shuts his filthy mouth. Their friends are convinced Jonah’s and Dylan’s disdain for one another is just thinly veiled lust—a rumor that surges like wildfire when the two wake up in one bed after homecoming. Mutually horrified, Dylan and Jonah agree to use the faux pas to their advantage by fake dating.

When fanfic writer Aaron Page landed a temp job with the creator of hit TV show, Leeches, it was only meant to last a week. Three years later, Aaron’s still there. It could be because he loves the creative challenge. It could be because he’s a huge Leeches fanboy. It’s definitely not because of Lewis Hunter, his extremely demanding, staggeringly rude...and breathtakingly gorgeous boss.

Still reeling from the sudden death of her mother, Jess is about to do the hardest thing she's ever done: empty her childhood home so that it can be sold. As she sorts through a lifetime of memories, everything comes to a halt when she comes across something she just can’t part with: an old set of encyclopedias. Publisher's summary
Sam Becker loves—or, okay, likes—his job. Sure, managing a bed-and-bath retailer isn't exactly glamorous, but it's good work, and he gets on well with the band of misfits who keep the store running. He could see himself being content here for the long haul. Too bad, then, that the owner is an infuriating git.
Jonathan Forest should never have hired Sam. It was a sentimental decision, and Jonathan didn't get where he is by following his heart. Determined to set things right, Jonathan orders Sam down to London for a difficult talk…only for a panicking Sam to trip, bump his head, and maybe accidentally imply he doesn't remember anything?
Faking amnesia seemed like a good idea when Sam was afraid he was getting sacked, but now he has to deal with the reality of Jonathan's guilt—as well as the unsettling fact that his surly boss might have a softer side to him. There's an unexpected freedom in getting a second shot at a first impression…but as Sam and Jonathan grow closer, can Sam really bring himself to tell the truth, or will their future be built entirely on one impulsive lie?

Bookstore owner Aubrey Barnes likes his quiet, orderly London life, thank you very much. His shop may be struggling, his only employee is a menace, and his plumbing is one creaky pipe away from disaster, but he can handle it. Maybe. He cannot, however, handle the film company that's thrown his Soho street into chaos. And he definitely can't handle the charismatic American actor Blake Sinclair.

Story
As a divorced man in my thirties with a throwaway job and very few friends, I admit that I've made a lot of bad decisions over the years. Rounding out the top of that epic list was allowing my son's best friend, Quinn, to talk me into taking him on a two-week summer road trip... alone. What was supposed to be quality father-son bonding time before Joshua went off to college has somehow transpired into a battle of wills between me and his nineteen-year-old best friend. Quinn may be young, but he genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with me, something I've never experienced before.

A year ago, my best friend received an exclusive invitation to join an elite brotherhood at Kingston University. He went into Hawthorne Hall for his initiation—but never came out. I intend to find out why. The brotherhood would never knowingly invite a female into their ranks. So what if I forged my father's signature on the recommendation? With a name like Elliot Ashford, they'll never see me coming. I'll endure whatever hell these brutal brothers put me through because I have no intention of backing down or bowing out gracefully. It won't be pretty.

He lives his life between the cycles of his illness, haunted by the ghosts of other people’s expectations. Then a chance encounter throws him into the path of Essex-born Darian Taylor. By his own admission, Darian isn’t the crispest lettuce in the fridge, but he makes Ash laugh, reminding him of what it’s like to step beyond the boundaries of anxiety.

Great story. Great narration.
Sigh. I just feel better after a trip inside an Alexis Hall story. This one was lovely. The characters are relatable on so many different levels. The plot is so creative. The unbelievable parts of the story become very believable with every chapter. I laughed. I cried. I didn't want the story to end, but the ending made me really happy. If that wasn't enough then allow me to gush about the wonderful narrator, Will Watt, who does an amazing job of narrating a large cast of characters with distinct voices for each character. So yeah, definitely a must read and a wonderful reread.

Lovely
It was a charming and unpredictable story line. The VO actor did a wonderful job. Overall, the story, dialogue, and performance were believable and comforting. It is also nice to have a gay love story without sex scenes. There are very few audio books that fill this void of storytelling.

Seriously? Seriously!
I don't even really know what to say! This is so good, so, so, so good. I love Alexis Hall so much. His writing style is my absolute favorite. He's brilliant with his humor, he captures the interactions between so many characters so well. Their personalities leap off of the page with every word and every bit of detail about their facial expressions. You are so easily hooked into his stories, I just love them dearly.
This was an excellent edition to the London Calling universe.
As for the narrator: oh gosh, Will Watt was the perfect choice for this. He puts all the feeling you would want into the different characters and had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout. There are so many soft parts where his inflection brings all the life to the pages. I read alongside listening to him and it was a wonderful experience.

Didn’t want it to end
This was a great story and very humorous. It was fun to listen to and I wish the story kept going.
I’m American so it took me a second to get used to the narrator. In the beginning, every now and then, I didn’t understand a word. It was fine though because he was amazing and did a great job conveying the humor.
I’m totally gonna check out other books by this author.

Narration is amazing, story funny and cute but misses a little chemistry
While I throughout enjoyed the narration, the funny parts of the story and the characters, I missed some more intense moments for the couple. Just a bit more chemistry and passion would have been nice. I don’t need explicit physical contact but just a little more zing. Mind you, it’s highly enjoyable and fun.
